They have this thing called a zip thru-- they sell everything. that a convience store has. I th ink they would go over well in the west.

We are under a tornado warning today. The wind is blowing but it is humid and sunny. Gives one a false sense of security. This catapiller had the right idea ---Get out of the road.

This tree was blowing in the wind , which made it 2 different colors. {green and white} Hope you can see the difference.

Just liked the contrast of the white tree with the evergreens and the one with out any leaves .
The time of day was right and the white tree looked etheral to me .... liked how the picture turned out.
And then of course Elder Slade was with me .........what can I say. I was sitting down as my hips hurt .

This is what we got from our Bishop and his wife for Easter. The cups are filled with candy, M&M's , jelly beans, chocolate and we each got a car. Note:
{mine is yellow} Perfect. Nice day.

We are an Easter party today , which we count as a success. We had several less actives and 2 investigators. Hopefully everyone thought it was fun. Wore us out.

We were out finding a Less active. He lives out in a most beautiful area. Along the river, and lots of trees. We are getting ready to have a ward party tomorrow for Easter.

Here you go ----------I saw a lady in the parking lot at the Dollar Store--- asked her where she got her hair done . I really liked her hair. So i went today , had a cut and she pulled it thru a cap and frosted it. Before I put a toner on it --- it was white. I plan to put a little darker toner on soon because she pulled so much thru and the grow out will be very obvious. This color is called, soft brown tones, medium blonde. What do you think .... please comment. To day while on the way to get my hair cut we went thru this town.

Now we have some houses that we liked , Dad really liked the English style . Who knew , I didn't know that was what he liked , It was kind of fun.


We have gone to searching out yellow houses now. We 've pretty much taken pictures of every yellow car so we 've taken up yellow houses and round barns. Now you have something to look forward to.




We were in Rochester today finding members, when we passed this Mennonite farm . The clothes on the line are on a pulley line there is a wheel on her porch and one on the pole to the right. It was pretty cool. Dad loved this old metal wheel tractor.


We had a very interesting day. We talked to 3 people none of them very interested in the Church. One did not want to talk to us, another said he didn't want to hear anything we said, , and asked to have his name removed. The other person suggested that she was not feeling well and we could maybe come again.

This is a car we saw today while we were in Indy for a Senior missionary gathering.





I thought you would be interested to see how we have to fill the bath tub in this apt. If we fill from the tub it takes about 40 minutes. The pressure is so bad. If we fill this way it cuts the time to about 15 to fill. Just a quick look at the finer things of our apt.

This was in a members business, "SchoolHouse Auctions" . It is now a basketball goal. Said he got it out of a jail in Arizona.
Amazing what people find to do with weird things. Just funny

This is a truisms . We are finding that this is the usual excuse. Or else they have no one to be friends with. I assured one lady that have non member friends was really ok, but that she still needed to come to church and partake of the Sacrament. She seemed surprised that have non member friends was really oK. Strange ideas people get. How narrow do they think we are? We need to reach out.
We got into the home of the family with 2 children. She was very friendly, he was not home when we got there, she said he would not be very long, so we waited;. He came home but stayed in the kitchen and when we left he was in the bathroom. We think he feels guilty and that is why he did not want to see us.
Her father is coming to visit in 2 weeks , he is a Bishop in Argentina, she thinks he will make them go to church. Hope sooooo
WE are {the missionaries} planning a party for Easter party. Water balloon volley ball, sling shot water balloons, egg hunt { we are going to make easter bags, tie them to a sting of yarn, the kids will be handed a yarn end and they have to follow it to find their bag} That way we don't have to worry about having enough baskets. plus a pot luck
We have a new Elder now He is from Wyoming .

Our schedule is so busy that we had time to have a deep fried pickle. It was ok.... but I wouldn't leave Idaho and drive to Indiana for it.

Some people think that doing the same thing all the time is funny. Sometimes it is not!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enough Said.
Conference this weekend was fantastic. I really appreciated all the talks , especially Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon. If the couple that we are teaching would have just watched conference they would be touched by the spirit and want to be baptized. They are {the couple we are teaching} very into what we say. She is a less active and he is a Non Member. He says that he has always prayed in his heart and he knows that prayers are answered . He knelt with us for their family prayer and he said the prayer. It was great. He also said that he has just always known what is right . He seems to accept what we say. It seems to ring true to him . Our prayer is that they will continue on the path towards baptism. I can only imagine how excited her parents will be if this all works out.
Tonight we went to another family that we thought we could work with to try to reactivate. We have seen them about 3 times , but the last time we called they said not this time . and then we went by and no answer. Tonight we asked a member to go with us , she brought her son we approached the door which was open {I was excited } we knocked , rang the bell, hollered, went around to the front door {tv is on and the lights are on} but we got no response. I hated to leave. I still think that we should have sat at the back porch until they came to the door to close it. They would have had to close the door tonight so our wait wouldn't have been that long. Elder Slade said they have their agency.... which I know but sometimes people can be pushed into making certain choices. I am a pusher.....
ON the other hand I had an eye opening insight this past week. We were working on the 2nd presentation on the plan of salvation. I have always wondered why our Heavenly Father gave
Adam and Eve conflicting commandments. It didn't seem fair, either way they would be wrong.
We were given our "Agency" as part of the plan of Salvation. So we were given choices in the pre existence , then in the Garden they were given choices again. As they were tutored by Heavenly Father they had wisdom to choose. After they made the choice and had some experiences they recognized the wisdom of their choice. Then once they left the Garden ,again we are given choices. AGENCY !!!!!!!!!! It was {Is |} is our gift - what a blessing.
On the other hand if they choose to use their agency in not opening the door..... why can't I use mine to try to visit with and have influence on them....
Oh well !!!!!!!!!!I am the junior companion here. I get to decide how to take the pictures.
Sometimes it just hurts my heart that people really don't want to come back and participate.

My feelings really empathize with the Prophets, at least I am not being burned at the stake or have rocks thrown at me. I haven't spent any time in the jail.

I love this gospel and the spirit that works with each of us.
