We have been in Red Mesa since Tuesday. This is where we parked the trailer. Looking to the North we see that the rain in coming. Monsoon season is here. It is beautiful to look out at the La Platas'.

I couldn't find LeGrand yesterday =so I went for a walk down to the valley below. and sure enough there he was ... try to learn to "witch for water". He and his brothers Brent and Sheldon had been doing some digging down there on an old "well " .. so they can get it up and running again. I had made him promise tht he would not dig in there alone. He had not. Here is what they got done on Wednesday.
This has been a trip down memory lane for LeGrand
He is so glad we came and I have enjoyed hearing his stories and doing some remembering of my own.
Here he is remembering a blue bird nest on the fence post by this tree. that was much smaller back then How much it has grown
These last two pictures are of LeGrand and his Brother Brent, outside the renovated "Bear Trap". The picture out our trailer door shows the hail on the ground after the storm. We are waiting for the sun to dry things out so we can get the trailer out of here before is sinks to a permanant situation.

This is how my 2 grandchildren arrived at my house this afternoon. It looked very uncomfortable(Hunter said it hurt)

I said that Gwennie needed to learn to ride her own bike.
She assured me she had one and could do it by herself.
So we went to her house and got it, training wheels and all.

Removing the training wheels ...

Her 1st time along. and the look on her face when she had made it. pretty cute!!

I am trying to grow my hair a little longer. For those of you that know me , will know that this is long for me. I actually like it , having people tell me I look younger isn't too bad either.

These as you can tell are not the best but I was taking them myself in the bathroom mirror. Better pictures next time.

I have been reading a book by Dr. John Lund, "The Art of giving and receiving Criticism".
It is very enlightening. Actually it is not anything new just in a new presentation for a different perspective. The information is about relationships and how we should treat each other. Using the Lords way of dealing with each other. He points out that -"each and every person born on the earth is given a conscience,(I knew that). He points out that God has placed in each child two internal guidance systems. The light of Christ and the Witness of the HOly Ghost. In the classroom , in the laboratory, when contacted b y the missionaries, the witness to truth given by the Holy Ghost." Members have the gift of constant companionship. THese two gifts are all part of God's "I love you program" God's hands are daily involved in the lives of His children , one had is the conscience the other is the Holy Ghost.. Often God guide His children with His hands while He Himself goes unnoticed. "
Which brings to mind the thougths from President Eyring...when he talked about seeing the hand of God in our lives on a daily lives. Tender mercies. I am trying to watch each day for those tender mercies.
