We havebeen en busy getting ready for the Tunbridge Expo. It is part of the Vermont Historical Society. They have booths on family history, finding your roots, antique farm equip, civil war, revolutionary war etc. They have little parade and cannons get shot off and there is a general feeling of patriotism. Being in New England they were pretty involved in the development of this country. They are very nice, but don't get into much of a hurry. 4 lane roads in towns have a speed limit of 40 where in AZ and Id we would go at least 45= 55/ Makes me a little crazy.
We have included some before and after pictures of the booth at the Expo. The picture on top is of us in the office. I was going from computer to computer helping with the projects they were each working on. The Yard stick makes me look like I have much more authority than I do.
We took a trip to the Shelborne museum on Monday very interesting. We went because the sawmill that was built by my gggGrandfather built in So. Royalton had been dismantled and taken to the museum. This is a small display box.
There are 2 cans (one on the left top shelf , other on the far right top shelf) they say SLADES
MARJORIM
This was in the General store, It looked alot like the old trading posts inside .
Our

trip to Shelbourne Museum:
the picture of the pewter room is a miniature setting . They had it full of mini pewter. I thought Patricia would be especially interested in this.
We saw dolls, old old dolls and newer dolls up to the 1950's They would not allow pictures in that building so I have no pictures. But I thought of several of you and how interested you would be interested, you would love it.
There was a whole house full of old and new quilts. it was so fun for me to see. One of the quilts was pieced together with pieces that were the size of a postage stamp. There were 12,900 pieces. So amazing You would have to love piecing to do that much work. Again there were no pictures allowed.

We also saw the steamboat Ticonderoga, Kathy and Frank would love this because it is the precursor to the large cruise ships. So beautiful yet so small .

There was a Warren Kimball exhibt that was nice .

Also a Mary Cassat showing , which was also nice.
They had old buggy's and sleigh's. An old school house, it was fun to visit.
