This is Gibbens, Jocilyn is on the right .

Christmas came to Idaho, It was wonderful experience. The grandkids had fun.
As grandma and Grandpa we were called when they got up and we went over to their homes to enjoy the spirit with them.

We gave both of the girls a pewter lamp we bought in Vermont. They were pretty surprised. It was fun to see their reactions.
LeGrand and I got a Garmin, since we are always getting lost. We can't go anywhere without going thru the worst parts of the cities we are in. It is a family joke, and I am usually the navigator.

We are both on top of things and look forward to the new year.
Good wishes for your new years.

We have had a very active month of Dec. We went to SLC for LeGrand's cornea transplant. THe Dr. was very capable , the surgery went well, and his eye is healing well.

I was in the hospital this past weekend thru tuesday eve. (Having developed a blood clot in my right lung) So we are recuperating together. All at once we are caring for each other.

My Granddaughter gave me a companion to take to the hospital with me. It was a lot of help.

Here is a memory

We are preparing to go to Salt Lake City. LA has to have his cornea transplant next week. This is something he (and I ) look forward to. He has really had trouble with his right eye. In fact he is nearly blind in that eye now. It will be the best Christmas present he could receive. Sort of like "his 2 front teeth".

We are working on some audio books so he can lay with his head up to the ceiling for 2 days and still feel like he is accomplishing something. We usually like to travel with books like that. It makes the trip a lot more interesting.

We love this time of the year... reconnecting with friends and feeling closer to family.
I was thinking to day about the different ways that families have Santa" come and distribute Christmas. Some give gifts that are more "wants" than needs, others give needs, others mix it up so that each one can have more gifts(some wants ) ( then some socks, sweats, pants (needs_) , One has him wrap the presents. Another leaves them out for a big surprise on Christmas day. Another finds that Santa has put the "nicest" Christmas balls on the tree and removes the old ones when he comes on Christmas eve. Each family has a Christmas eve gathering with the traditional telling of the Christmas story...What memories. It is "OK" for each family to have their own individual ways of celebrating. WE are all children of our Father in Heaven and he allows for individualism. Thank him for that freedom. We love you all.

Some of our memories include the dog.

Eyore comes to our home several time during the year, but especially during the holidays.

and this year I feel alittle discombobulated. So this maybe how we look when the time comes. I don't have the steam I used to have.
