My nephew , Spencer and his family came to spend the afternoon. We enjoyed having company and the little girls all loved the dressup dresses that Santa brought to my house. plus the video games that heh brought to my house. and A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL.

We then went to Chesley's about 8:15. Tyler wouldn't let anyone put the wheels on his rider. and the dollar store horn was one of the biggest hit.

We went to Gibbens 1st around 7:15

Jocilyn and McKenna got the doll of their dreams- she drinks, wets and messes. They start early, now/

Tricia got a new vacumn, 10 years ago who knew she would be so excited about that.

Christmas MEME"

In reading my Sister in Laws' blog I learned what a MEME is. I don't think one is ever too old to learn something new--so I decided to do the same thing and comment on my blog. I found it very interesting to learn of her traditions, memories and favorites. Soooooooooooo- here goes.

What kind of wrapping paper do you use ?
Several years we wrapped everything in brown paper, with raffia. It was fun. WE have had different colors and patterns of paper; Lately I have gone to a color palette(Usually reds) with complimentary bows. I've become some kind of a "everything must coordinate) freak.

Real or Fake
I Love the smell of live trees, but I feel guilty that anyone cuts down a living tree. What can i say, I grew up in NM and AZ where trees are few and far between

When do you start shopping?
I start at the beginning of the year or when I find something I think someone would like. I used to have it done by halloween. Then I went to Thanksgiving(which I try to keep close to) I usually still have to get a few things but the season is much more fun if I don't have to panic.

Who is the hardest to buy for?
Probably my Son's in law and my own Sons(what they want is usually BIG.

Who is the easiest to buy for?
Probably each of my girls.

Do you have a favorite nativity.
I have a collection of nativities. Some were given to me by my children that brought me one from another country. SOme of them I bought for myself because they were pleasing to me. My Favorite is the one from my Mother's gift shop.

Favorite thing to eat.
Well, english toffee, but that is not very healthy just delicious. AS a main meal, I love to have a chili quiche and green chili burritos for Christmas eve......guess I got that from living in New Mexico.

The 1st time I heard it was when the choir that Tricia's was in sang it. It brings peace to my soul.

Do you Travel at Christmas?
Not when we had kids at home-- we would and do now because it is easier for us to go than for those with children to travel.

Does Santa Wrap or Not?
Santa does not have time to wrap everything , so he leaves the gifts unwrapped with name tags on them. Even the Elves are too busy to wrap ---. I do believe in Sants, sometimes he still comes to this house of grandparents. In fact he is coming here this year because I wrote him and asked for toys for Grandma's house.

It is so fun to live close to family. the Grandchildren can run over and
borrow something to take back to their Mother. It is fun to watch them
care for each other as they walk.
