We stopped to look at this antique store the other day between appt. this ice box was selling for $500, the Hoosier in the back of me was selling for $695, The spool cabinet was $180.

We have been so busy with the things that have been assigned in this new Ward. Finding and completing a master list of Religious leaders in the community to invite to the openhouse for the new chapel., finding people.... so far we have removed 5 people from the
Ward list . Besides we get to call all the graduating seniors so see what their status is for collegee and and if they plan to attend institute . We are working at the Institute 2 days aweek and volunteering at the YMCa 4 hours a week, plus the ward stuff.
Oh I forgot we are working on the history of the area for a booklet for the new Chapel openhouse.

WAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We have moved to Lafayette as of last Friday. Pretty excited.
this Bishop is so positive , of course he has only been in 8 months. He has 5 children 2 boys and 3 girls. ages 21-6. So here are some pictures of the new abode .

We are assigned to Lafayette 3rd ward and the institute at Purdue. there is an excitement in the air.l except for LA and I have a queasy stomach

We saw turkeys on our way to visit a member . tried to get them up close but this is the best we could do

Our ward mission leader and his family invited the Elders and Us to a sort of farewell dinner. It was fun --I ate too much oh well

They have this thing called a zip thru-- they sell everything. that a convience store has. I th ink they would go over well in the west.

We are under a tornado warning today. The wind is blowing but it is humid and sunny. Gives one a false sense of security. This catapiller had the right idea ---Get out of the road.

This tree was blowing in the wind , which made it 2 different colors. {green and white} Hope you can see the difference.

Just liked the contrast of the white tree with the evergreens and the one with out any leaves .
The time of day was right and the white tree looked etheral to me .... liked how the picture turned out.
And then of course Elder Slade was with me .........what can I say. I was sitting down as my hips hurt .
