the thanksgiving season!

Well, what a time we had in November. First the cruise, and then the blessing of being able to be with our children and their families. It was so much fun just being together. The Grandchildren were so fun to see doing their songs, playing the piano, standing on their heads and playing a round of UNO.
We went to the ASU USC game, it was fun to see the crowd, however the seating left something to be desired. They *ASA* need to take off at least 2 seats on each row to make room for everyone. Scott wound up sitting on the step instead of the bleacher.
We have much to be thankful for. We enjoyed going to Lynn's shower. She got a lot of nice things.

The most fun I have had in a while...................

This is the 1 st village we visited in Matzatlan- kids in the streets and animals on the roads.

Here we are sitting on the 1st wrong bus we were on , about to meet with the 2nd

Our return trip on the lost bus in Puerto Vallarta
LeGrand's new friend in Cabo
these were all over
Cabo -

LeGrand
getting ready to board
Watching the coast disappear
Went with my sister
Watching the wake behind
our glass bottom boat

Don't they look good together

We stopped to see Lynn and Jake last weekend on our way to our Cruise. It was fun to visit them.

Then it was on to Mexico: best told by Photos What a good time we had
I will tell you the para-sailing is a kick!!!!!!!! I would do it again in an instant. LeGrand and I got lost and taking a bus ride to the mountains. It was too funny!! We don't speak spanish very well and we were certainly the only gringo's in the area. We went to the end of the bus line and had to catch one that was going back and just starting his run.

November is finally here

I love this time of year. The colors and the feelings: gratitude, peace and love. I find a lot of satisfaction in the season, being with family and friends. We have a neighbor that just found out she has a cancerous mass on her kidney and growths on her lungs and other vitals. She is trying to remain positive and upbeat. Her sadness comes from thinking she won't get to see her grandkids grow up. I can empathize with those feelings. She is always such a positive person. I would hope I could be so positive, especially with the knowledge I have .
I have been reading several other blogs and the theme seems to be gratitude. Guess we each need a reminder on a yearly basis... so November thank you

Guess What !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know that you will never guess so I will tell you. We have been invited to go to Mexico with my Sister and her Husband (on a cruise) They got a deal and so did we. We just decided last week. We are looking forward to reading some books , seeing new places, and enjoying the sun and the pools onboard. It is actually our 1st real cruise. We went before but the ship was not one of the big ones . In fact it was dwarfed by the other cruise lines .
We both mark another year on this earth this year-looking forward we realize we still have much to do, so we are trying to hurry to get it all done.

The days are getting shorter and the government still thinks that day=light savings time will save us all from the dark. Jason was right when he was 6, "they can't change the sun, what do they think they are doing ?"

The one very sane things Arizona has done is not to give in to the whole craze of time changes.

My Mother

My Mother had a birthday last week. I got to be with her and enjoy her personality. We had to remind her every hour or so what month and day it was, to which each time she would say" Oh, it's my birthday!! How old am I" , We would tell her and then she would sigh "Oh My!" What a blessing I have to be her daughter. What an example she has always been, sharing her strong testimony, serving with diligence. She was always there for me(us, my sisters and I).
I remember having many conversations with her sitting around the kitchen table or sitting on the end of her bed.
She always told us that we couldn't do anything wrong and say "we did not know better, as she had taught us".. . She now says we were perfect and never did anything to disappoint her .

I am convinced that she is suffering from a wonderful form of dementia. It is a blessing that comes to parents. Maybe it is part of that eternal love that we also feel from our Heavenly Father- who " remembers no more", when we repent. THe blessing of parents is such a gift we must all acknowledge. i Love you Mom and Dad .
