Sunday July 17,

We spent last week Wed, and Thur. in Indianapolis for leadership training . We learned alot about listening to the spirit, and teaching. It does cause one to study the scriptures more.

Several things happened this week that helped us know that we are being watched after. We taught a lesson to this couple that is about our age. She is a member {less active} and he just retired . this lesson went well and she came to church on Sunday. He was suppose to come also but his brother came to town for the weekend so he stayed home with him.

I don't think we have him knowing that there was a need for a restoration . We will keep studying so that this next time we will be able to teach more effectively.

We know that the Lord is protecting us. Angels ride in our Car. We have had several close calls but we were protected. Thank goodness.

I am having the worst time loosing weight. Seems like I eat all the time. I think I have --- hand and mouth disease . It is a terminal thing. Very over powering . Maybe I need hypnotized into thinking I am not hungry. Or else I need to take less pills .

This man has taken us to eat twice. He is from Ireland , met his wife here,
she was from Germany and now she is gone. He is very lonesome. Loves his

Elder Slade wanted to show how tall the corn is here several days before the 4th.

Our Bishop sent us a picture of Fabio for me to use as his picture in the video for the open house. So the other day we saw this guy following us down the road... "look there is the Bishop!!!" so we took a picture sent it too him and told him we felt he had missed the mark slightly. Besides we thought he was out of town... His response..........." I like to let my hair down when President Ellis is out of town. "

This little guy was sitting on the grass by our front door
when we came home tonight. He sat very still while I got out the camera and then just before he left --------- He turned and poised then hopped off for another photo shoot somewhere else----

This is about the best way to describe our mission. It is funny. !!!! We have been so busy, and we are both tired. In fact last night we didn't go out at all because we were tired and by the time we felt alittle like going and finding it was 7:30(bad timing if we want to catch someone not in their lounge wear}

Just thought that you would like to see where they built the new building. They had to go down 22 feet to find bed rock amazing. then there is the swamp land {wet land} that is protected by the gov and we can't land scape it unless we plant natural vegatation=== which the church has planted 7000 plants in there and we won't see the results for 3 years

We have been to about 4 houses lately, where the individual smokes. We come out of their homes just reeking of smoke. The 1st two times we came home showered and changed out clothes. Hung the smelling ones in front of the fan , tumbled them in the dryer to get rid of the smell.
Yesterday, we had several appointments so we went to two houses then to Wal-mart {to buy some fabreeze} then on to our next appt. You would have laughed seeing us spray ourselves in the parking lot.
