Happy Birthday Marie!!!

Marie came to us in 1979. She is a happy girl.
As you will see she has had her ups and downs.
She has more ups than downs...and many loves.

I got to spend time with Lynn and her family this past week. We did some sewing, went to the fabric district in LA, .
We did go to Annabelles' first gymnastics class. She loved it. Well , almost all of it.

Annabelle loves her Daddy and mimicks him all the time. The top picture of she and Jake was after family prayer.

It is almost February . Can't believe that the year is moving along so quickly.
Jan is the birthday month for 2 of my children. Tricia (15) and Lynn(30). Each birthday brings memories to my mind of each one.
Tricia, was my pink baby. She looked beautiful in pink , had pink skin and was my smallest baby. The nurses loved her. She and I went through some trauma the 1st two years of her life. I was Relief Society President and she was hungry. I didn't know how to not stress so we went to the bottle. Then she would take the bottle to bed with her and by the time she was 3 she had 7 cavities in her little mouth. She has however recovered from her Mothers' inadequacies(thank goodness children are resilient)
She was always very animated and wanting to perform. She sings beautifully and has an ability to express herself that is wonderful. She is compassionate to those old people she cares for and the less fortunate. She had such a great little family, 1 husband Matthew and 3 darling girls, Jocilyn, McKenna and Maesyn. Love you Tricia,

Lynn,
This little girl came to our home last. She immediately brought excitement to our lives by not breathing several times in the 1st few months she was here. So we all learned to check on her and we are glad that she made it through those scarey times.
She has always been a defender of her Mother(ever if I was the oldest Mother among her friends). She is confident, a leader ( we always maintained that she could get a whole group of people to follow her down the street in their swimsuits is she wanted to. ) She too is a singer, very sensitive to others, doesn't want to be at odds with anyone. We have learned also not to tell her she can't do something because she will somehow get it done. Amazing determination . She is creative and very talented in many areas. She too has been blessed with a great family, one husband (Jake), and one very cute little Annabelle. THere is another one on the way so we are excited about that . love you Lynn

November 1, 2009

What a great month October was for me. I turned 60' which for me was alittle hard to take. I don't feel 60' , it seems impossible that I reached that milestone without my noticing.
LeGrand felt that we should go to Utah to celebrate with my parents. After the working at the Temple on Thursday 22nd, we left for Orem. Stopped to see the eye Dr. and then on to visit with a Missionary couple we worked with in Vermont.
Earlier in the month, I was online when I received an IM from by neice..asking "what this sisters reunion was coming up" , I didn't know anything about it. but it got my curiosity going. About 3 days before my Dad called, during the visit, he asked when I was giving my Mom a perm?", I said probably Friday AM, to which he replied, "Oh , Kathy and Beth are coming on Friday , did you know that?' , of course I didn't but that added fuel to my curiosity.

So on Friday I began to try to figure out when everyone would come in and when I should expect the big "SURPRISE" , I checked flts and arrival times to see if they coordinated. Then I over heard my Dad (on the phone) , say "call when you get to Flagstaff" So I knew it would be late in the day before they showed up. I began to relax.

In the afternoon LeGrand and I went to Costco and the Post office for my Dad. trying to be so careful with the key ---(so as not to loose it) , I promptly lost it. couldn't remember where I had put it , so we stopped in a parking lot , dumped my purse, checked all over the truck--it was no where to be found.

We headed back to face the consequences for losing my Dad's postoffice key. Walked in the house thru the back door --into the living room and there on the couch were our three daughters. Tricia, Marie, Lynn. \There was no car in the front , I was really surprised.

I spent Friday, Sat and part of Sun with the girls, Lynn's in laws have a cabin at Sundance that they let us use. We had so much fun ....
then on Sun the girls had to leave and they took my down to church --where I met my Sisters. We went back up to the cabin until Tuesday. We laughed , and talked , and talked , and laughed...what a great way to start a new decade.

thanks to all of you that thought of me on that day. Family and Friends are what are important in this life.

It looks like I only post once a month. So to be true to form here is my Sept. post. We went camping by McCall, Marie and Tricia's family came with us. We had bikes to ride, lots of food, watching squirrels, walks to the lake, and the ever famous "collecting of organic material". UGH!!
Good thing they didn't want to bring it home.
The down side of this trip was first Tyler got sick for about 12 hours, then Hunter, the babies did not like being disrupted (so they slept lousy). We went up on Friday and by the middle of the night Sat. we had all decided to go home, where sick would be easier. Before we could drive away, Gwennie was sick. The trip down the hill was interesting to say the least.
Being home is sure easier and everyone seems to be better. So we came home a day earlier, which has another positive side, the traffic was not as bad as it will be today.
Pictures of our trip.

Oh I forget to mention that Dallin feel out of the trailer onto his head. Poor little boy, Grandpa was right there but just couldn't get him fast enough.

Memories, We sure miss our other Children and wish they could have enjoyed the experience with us . Not the sick part though.
